So I have my adjustment of status interview coming up on June 22nd...I'm anxious, excited, nervous...all in one. My husband tells me don't be nervous but how can I not be? My future depends on this...he doesn't wants to study because he claims he's good at interviews and he knows me inside out but the weird thing is our perceptions of events are so different! What should I expect, focus on, etc...? All feedbacks are welcome...I need some advice and guidance .....

Some days I'm good and can't wait but other days I'm nervous. You wouldn't believe how many small details we miss or don't pay attention to on a day to day basis. My husband and I have been living at our current residence for over 2 years and I never paid attention to how many windows is in the house or mirrors, etc...
I need to start making copiesure of current pictures, etc...
Thank you for replying...talking to someone else that's going thru the process helps alot

you need to calm yourself down, don't be too nervous, if a question is ask and you don't know it or you cant remember, say you cant remember, please don't try guessing the answer.
just be specific.
I've read that somewhere probably on this site. I know I have to be honest but i will be devastated if I get a question wrong when this relationship is as real as it gets. I hate failing at anything especially something this monumental.

We had our interview on Wednesday (6/7) and what our interviewer said was that he would ask one of us a question‚*and he did not want the other person to interrupt or try and answer the question for the other person. He also said that while he was asking one person a question‚*he would be looking at the other. I guess they are basically looking at how one of the couple reacts to what the other person says. I'm pretty sure they read body language and how you interact with your partner as well. I know we were nervous‚ I'm sure everyone is and I'm also sure that the immigration officer expects that. I know during the interview process I drew a blank for a second and for the life of me couldn't remember our full address (where we have now lived for over 5 years)‚ I'm sure these moments are a normal part of the interview process and they will not make a judgement on a small things.
Our officer was very polite and relaxed throughout the process. He was friendly and made sure we were at ease. I have been married previously and had through that marriage started the green card process many years ago‚*although it was never completed as we separated and were divorced before two years was up. There were personal aspects that were touched on in our interview as a normal part of the process‚*nothing invasive or anything like that. It was just related to my parents who for want of a better term‚*I am estranged from. After this was discussed‚*he apologized for any discomfort that may have caused in discussing it.
Our case was not approved on the spot‚ and this was due to my previous green card application process that the officer said he had to just go over some procedural details with his supervisor on how to continue. He said he expected to have an answer from his supervisor by Friday and as far as he was concerned there were no issues. Today‚*late afternoon I received email notification that my green card was approved and in production.
Don't lie‚ tell the truth and just be honest and upfront. We took a folder of information and all he asked to see was any photos we might have and any additional proof of relationship information we might want to add to what we already provided. At the end he took a photocopy of our ID's (my wife's drivers license‚ my EAD and state ID - I don't drive) and a copy of a credit card on an account with both of our names on (a card in my wife's name and a card in my name).
I hope this in some way helps.

Just had our interview on Wednesday, June 7th, in Oklahoma City and we are approved on the spot. Just like you I was so nervous and stressed. My husband kept telling me nothing to worry but can't help it lol. Our interview lasted for about less than 10 minutes I think. We came prepared and have everything we thought we needed. She said the documents we sent for our I-485 is more than enough and are convinced that our marriage is real but if we have other proofs then just give it to her. But we decided to give her all the proofs that we brought and she just picked some of it like our joint bank accounts, utility bills, W2s and proof of income since husband has a new job. She didn't even cared about the wedding pictures but husband insisted lol so she just looked at it and gave it back to us. Nothing asked about our relationship just few questions for me about I-485 and that's it. Told us to check mail in 3 weeks. She was nice and very friendly.
So my advice just relax and just be honest. These people have interviewed a lot of people so they can tell if we are lying or not. One great factor is having a joint account. Because she said if your relationship isn't true then he/she will be afraid to add you into his/her bank accounts. That's exactly what she told us. So good luck!

Yes my wife is just like it will be fine stop worrying and i said Honey this is some serious situation ya know lol. I just started making copies today, one day at a time, have all from Marriage certificate to kids birth certificates. No joint bank account unfortunately no valid id but the good news is that i got the email today about EAD being mailed out but with my ex wife child support and arrears very unlikely to even be joint right now until i fix things i hope they understand that. I am however beneficiary on her account with our 2 young ones, Stephen is 4 and Samantha is 2. I have a Sprint account joint and Car Insurance with my wife since we got married but my NY license unfortunately expired in 2014 and u know how it when u can't renew without EAD in Hand. My ex wife I think stole and destroyed my Passport during Divorce but i have no proof but INS knows about that. MY I94 i was lucky to find it via FOIA Freedom Act after 60 long days and a supervisor there that went express on it so i have it on a disk, you see INS kept it back when i first filed in 2001 and after so long since my ex withdrew from my application in 2006 they said let me see. My journey even crazier as back in my home country they burnt my info because i was MIA but i am still french born. French Embassy in Miami told me they do not renew or replace a passport here unless EAD on hand omg wow really so it was either go home and face CBP music etc make it home wait for months, leave kids and wife behind or full ahead i go without being the Titanic so here I am 2 weeks ahead of the big interview. Lord please give my wife a nice IO been here so long i would be crushed if something goes wrong. Wish i had a normal life, funny thing is that with the bad wife i had it all from joint accounts etc but she thought she owned me and the name callings omg, so sad is that she was actually sponsored by her brother from Jamaica i mean a US Citizen that she ditched after she became legal but i found that out toward the end of the marriage oh my how delightful. What are your thoughts on the paperwork so far.

Get copied of texts, emails, love notes, pictures, etc...
In my case I have all the above I mentioned in addition to multiple joint accounts, joint car ownership, taxes file as a couple, lease, utility, health insurance, phone bill and 401k. It all comes down to the type of IO you get and how well your answers coincide.
Best of luck to you
