Hi everyone, i heard you would have to do the medical again if it is 12 months old+, i sent the papers to uscis about on october, about 3 days after getting my medical and that was last year and still they haven't send my interview yet, i asked my lawyer and he said if the interview is past the medical exam expire date them is uscis fault for taking longer tham a year to send the interview, but i'm not quite convinced, i dont think uscis will take responsability for it even if is theyr fault, should i do another conplete inmmigration medical exam before the interview and be 3 step ahead of the officer or am i overreacting and they will take responsability like my lawyer said, is a 200$***00$ exam so i would like to save it, any help highly appreciated.

They will not take responsibility and you will have to pay for it if it expires. I would wait until it either expires or until i have an interview date.

it's not their fault that your medical expires. get a new one when this one expires or when you have an interview date for sure. USCIS wont pay for your new medical, that's why a lot of people put medicals on hold till they know they have an interview since the process can take longer than a year
