My recent wife has applied for adjustment of status on a J1 Visa through marriage of a US Citizen. She came here on a J-1 Visitor and married during her stay. We have our receipt confirmation and we have done the biometrics already and we are waiting for a response for approval. However, during this possibly, very long wait, i would like to take my wife on a cruise. Her actual Visa is valid, but her status is not because it expired, but she is in process now but obviously it could take months until she gets her EAD. We are able to get her state I.D. by showing our receipt for the papers in process. Just want to make sure before i buy a cruise. Thought I could get some clarification on here! If you need any more information let me know! thanks in advance!
