07/05 - everything received at NBC
    8/31 - biometrics done
9/18 - you are ready to be scheduled for an interview

Heard nothing since. It's been 127 days. I raised a service request over the phone at 90 days, waited 30 days and didn't hear anything back. I called and asked to speak with a Level 2 officer. He told me that my case is in line to be reviewed and that I just need to be patient and check the NBC processing times online. He said they are stll working on cases from May, this was 10 days ago. Yesterday, I saw online that NBC processing times for I-765 (EAD) is cases received from the 15th of September which means we should have got our workpermits already, so I submitted a new SR online and said that there has been no update to my case and it says NBC are processing cases 2 months after my case was received. Not heard anything back. Will keep you posted. I am so beyond ready to start working and getting my workpermit. Also, my husband is a chief in the Navy and I checked this off on the online service request.

So NEWS! he just got approved for both the work permit and travel document today! So you should get it soon! I hope the interview date comes soon as well. I thought this whole process would take 6-7 months and we are nearing the 6th so I hope it doesn't take any longer. My husband wants to visit his parents and worries that using the AP might cause him problems coming back or we get an interview date. We are still deciding wether he should use it or not.

It is all depends on field service office. If you field service is still dealing with 2016 cases then he should visit. If you are expecting an interview soon then he should wait.

Same as you. I am 121 days now. I raised SR and their email response just saying your case is under review. Hope we both can hear back soon.

Damn I can't believe some May/June/July filers still haven't gotten their combo cards. That's a little ridiculous. I also really think that they should change their SR policy if the processing times are taking longer and longer.

Maybe try contacting your congressperson and ombudsperson instead? My SR hasn't been assigned and the expected reply date is this coming Monday! Lots of SRs have gone unanswered.

          • So as I said my wife's work authorization card came and her name was misspelled, I made a service request and got this email:

            Thank you for your request:
USCIS will review and process the request
            Expect a reply by November 9, 2017
Your request ID number is SR YYYY YYYY ZZZ

Here we are on November 13th with no reply. I called the USCIS and finally got through to a customer service representative but did not have receipt numbers because it appears their website is down where I go to log in. They couldn't help me at all without receipt numbers.

Anyone else done a service request? Is it common to last longer than the date they state?

            Very frustrated.

The USCIS received all of my documents on the 5th of July and no change since. I have raised 2 SR without any help. I called and asked to speak with a level 2 officer, the first one was no helpful at all and basically told me to just wait. I called back and got to talk to a lady who said that when cases are received by the USCIS, they decide the cases and gives them to different officers. If you have a slow officer ( like me ) it takes a long time, where as someone who gets an officer who works fast, they will get their workpermit and travelauthorization fast. The lady also told me that the 90 days dont apply anymore but everyone should have their workpermit sent to them within 4 months, which has also not happened. I will keep calling them and ask to speak to a level 2 officer until I see that my workpermit is sent.

I am also having issues with the website today.

My case was received on the 5th of July - no change or workpermit. I have raised two SR and never got an answer for any of them. Checked spam, filters everything on my email.
I called them and they said that they had responded to both which is inaccurate. I also read on forums that other people have experienced the same, they never get a reply to the SR. I asked the officer to read the emails that were sent and all it said was this: Your case is currently in line to be review. That's it.

My lawyer said that contacting the congressperson has not been successful with his other clients dealing with the same matters.

I raised a SR on 10/13 and the email confirmation told me they will response by 10/25, but i waited till 10/25, they didn't respond, so the lawyer told me that's just a target date, they could take up to 30 days. I finally got my SR response thru email on 11/7 but the answer just saying my case in under review, they will give me an answer shortly, which doesn't really help.

                • Hi guys,
I've been waiting more than 4 months for my EAD card and still no updates. My PD is 7/12, MSC/NBC. I have raised 1 SR thru phone call with level 2 USCIS officer last month. No response yet.I contacted my congresswoman thru email. No response yet.

Also, my attorney office, they never answer my emails or phone calls about my case update since they messed up with my change of address. I'm wondering in case my attorney ignores me, what options that I can do? They have all my case information so I've been very polite but choosing to ignore their clients is not really a professional way to an attorney office. I wonder if anyone has same situation like me?

First of all, you need to go to your Congressman's office and fill out a release form otherwise they won't work on your case. I thought that by contacting them via e-mail that it would be enough but then I called and they told me that I need to fill out the privacy release form.

Don't be afraid of calling your congressman's office and explaining your situation. I waited over 4 months for my EAD and I actually got my interview notice before I got my EAD. My PD is 6/5, biometrics 6/28, SR 9/2, interview notice 10/10, EAD+AP approval notice in mail 10/16. EAD+AP card came 10/17, interview 11/8 and 11/16 my I-485 case status changed to New Card Being Produced when the officer told me that I need to give them a document that I did not have.

E-mailing is not the best way to get your stuff done so I would say call or go personally. Obviously you can't really go to USCIS but make an infopass or something.
                    Forms sent 6/2
                    Forms received 6/4
                    Received texts/e-mails 6/6
                    PD 6/5 & 6/6
NOA between 6/8 and 6/12 (I was out of town)
Biometrics letter in mail 6/17 w/ 6/28 date
                    SR 9/2
                    Contacted Congressman 10/1
                    Called the Congressman's office 10/10
                    Interview letter 10/10
                    Approval Letters for I-765 and I-131 10/16
                    Received EAD/AP card 10/17
                    Interview 11/8 RFE after
                    New Card Being Produced 11/16
                    Conditional GC received 11/24

                    • My timeline

Hello everyone, here is my timeline, I am desperate already since our PD is 7/5/17 and I have seen people on this thread that already received their green cards...

                      PD: 7/5/17 (I-485, I-130 and I-765)
                      Biometrics: 8/1/17
We have been ready to be schedule for an interview since 8/14/17
I-765: Approved on 10/11/17, received work permit three days after approval

We are filing from Los Angeles, adjustment of status (my husband petitioned me).

We have coworkers with the same PD as us and they had their interview last week.

I raised a congressional inquiry this week, hoping to receive an answer soon.

Is there any Los Angeles filers?? When should we ask for an infopass to request information?

                      • adding data point

I'm adding my data point. Employment-based green card app.

485 filed at Nebraska Service Center on 7/28/17, RD 7/31/17. EB-2, ROW (Poland). I-140 filed concurrently under PP but due to RFE and lawyers taking their sweet time in replying, it wasn't approved until 9/25/17. PD: 4/28/17.

EAD/AP approved Oct 30 after I submitted a service request on Oct 24. Not sure if it helped because my EAD/AP was approved before they answered my SR.

Now waiting for my case to be transferred to NBC and then for interview. I'm having so much trouble being patient!! How do you guys do this??!!

Hi Walbrzyszanka21, thank you for your reply!!! I was about to call the congresswoman office but they already replied my email back! Basically her staff wrote that she was informed that my application is still within NORMAL processing times (been waiting for 4 months). Also she asked me to let her know when I do not receive an update by next month. I didn't provide any information about my case or fill any release form like you said. Just my husband, my name, and our address. I find this a little bit weird...

All I can do now is wait another 1 month, which is gonna take me total 5 months for my EAD. Hopefully I will get it asap. I tried all I can now 😞

Los Angeles here! PD is 08/08, still haven't received EAD approval. I called USCIS and was told the LA office is processing I-485's from February. In your case, I wouldn't worry about anything yet. July filers who already have their GC's just got super lucky, nothing more. The average processing time is more like 7-8 months (this takes into consideration that some states take close to a year or more).
