Filing I485 for married son
Petition for immigration was filed for my cousin under category F2B (Unmarried Sons and Daughters (21 years of age or older)) which was done in 2011. Based on this, he got letter from USCIS as priority date has become current for him. But in between he got married, which would mean he would go under the category F3, for which priority date is way behind. I would like to know whether there are exception scenarios wherein he would still be able to proceed with his application? Would talking to any immigration attorney help here? Any guidance pointer would be greatly helpful.
