GC Interview Advise or Suggestion

Hi all,
I would like to ask for an advise or suggestions for my coming GC interview. I am gathering all of our marriage, life evidences, and paperworks and prepare them.
For those who had there GC interview done, could you please share your experienced.

1. When we got married, my husband have his own house already. When we call the mortgage company, (last year) so that my name (wife's name) will be included in the mortgage. The mortgage company wanted us to "refinance" the house. We don't want to do it, since that we don't have money to refinance it. To make the story short, my name is not in the mortgage and its only my husbands name. I am kind of anxious about that, because that is one of the marriage evidence they need. Any advise?
2. Even the Gas company, water, electric company, when we've called them (last year) they've told us the same.
We do both have membership of various clubs in our names. We submitted already others evidence of our marriage.
Im getting nervous here but thankful and grateful too!

Proof of joint home ownership is not necessarily "needed". It would be nice to have the proof but not every married couple is in the financial situation to afford a home. Maybe what you can do is have your husband write a letter confirming that you live with him and have it notarized.

For the gas, water and electric bills, you probably would have to end the service and try to open it under your name. But again it is not a necessity but it is nice to have as proof.

What about car insurance? Or internet, cell phone bills? Joint bank accounts? Joint credit cards? Have a family member or two write a letter supporting your marriage.

I had exactly the same as you. My husband had house before. So we left as it is. However, he put my name as a joint for water bill that we received in every 2 months. I have my interview done on 10th this month, still they didn't ask any papers yet and updated online that they will review my case.

Additionally I was added into life insurance of my husband. You can do the same too. We had phone bill , and car insurance together however, we didn't submit any paper except the bank statement for last a year where everything mentioned.


I am now worried . God knows what is waiting ..

By the way, which location are you in?

Yes, we do have car insurance both on our names, joint bank accounts, Verizon Account- I am listed as the account manager as they said that my husband will be the primary account holder. They only allows one account holder. We submitted already the affidavit of support of our marriage from our family and friends.
Oh well! I need to double check everything again.

We called all the utilities company since last year they're also couldn't add my name on the billing, they've told us that the property(house)is still in my husband name and should be in our both names in order for me to include in the billing. We will leave it as is, because it needs money to sort this things out. Anyway, we have our names on our car insurance, Verizon, health insurance, and some club membership, will bring also photos, gifts receipts, cards.
I did received my interview noticed last July 10th. It's basically says what to bring for the interview. Just this morning my online status got changed/updated since my PD.

Those of you that have your case at il, when did they receive your papers and day of interview? Mine was received october 14 2016 and yet no interview date.

My case was kinda similar. My office is Kendall FL, case was received October 18th 2015, GC interview was July 13th 2016.
