  • I-751 form

Hi, I just received today my notice of action I-797 from form I-751. They received it 07/11/2017 and received this notice today. I am putting the receipt number to check the status of the application and it says that the number is wrong. I even called the USCS automated system and it says that check the number and try again. Does anyone know why?

It sometimes takes a little while for the case numbers to be entered into the system so they can be accessed online. I would give it a few days and then try again.

This is normal. For some stupid reason the "I-751" case number will never show up in the case status system. When you get your biometrics notice, it will have both an "I-751" (same as the one on your I-751 receipt) and a "CRI-89" case number. Only the "CRI-89" case number will show up in the case status system and this is what you need to use to look up the case status. The "I-751" case number will still not work.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. How long does it take for you to receive your biometrics notice after they receive your petition?
