  • Rescheduling interview online?

Hey guys! I went to an infopass a month ago asking how I can reschedule an interview because I will not be in the states until September, and the officer told me I could follow the instructions on the notice letter and reschedule online. I got my interview letter 2 days ago and now I need to reschedule it. However, I see no instructions about rescheduling online at all. Was the information about rescheduling online wrong? Is the only way for rescheduling calling the 5283 ending number?
    Thanks guys 😊

Well, can you try everything within your power to attend your interview? If you have received your interview notice, may I suggest you try and honor it. The reason is that even if you try and reschedule it, USCIS might not receive it and then you can get a denial and case closed. You will then need to pay to have your case reopened. Right now is not really the best time to reschedule any appointment with USCIS. I have been waiting for my interview, which USCIS did not schedule in March, 2017. Only for them to say I will wait for another 4-6 weeks to get their decision if they can reschedule me. It sometimes gets complicated to reschedule. You might be lucky.
To answer your question, call the CSR number, ask to speak with a Tier 2 officer and then see what they can do. Only emergency cases allows you to reschedule interviews.

    Good luck with it.

I agree. I would do everything to attend that meeting. USCIS is so back logged that you might not be able to reschedule for a long time or even get denied. This should be your priority right now since it will allow you to take care of other priorities in your life. Wish you luck!
