I just wanted to give you a a story about my case:
PD: 12/14/2017 (married USC)
Bio: 01/17/2017
REF: 02/03/2017
REF received: 02/10/2017 ( to submit tax return last year). The lawyer service reviewed and said it's ok to submit the letter to explain and submit financial evidence. (WHICH IS WRONG. YOU MUST SUBMIT THE TAX RETURN) Otherwise, they will issue REF and cause a long delay.
Request to expedite my case on 15/02/2017 for job offer (on the phone). However, the case was under review. USCIS sent a letter to request evidence for expediting my case on 03/15/2017, and I responded on 04/15/2017 (due to I did not get receive any letter/ email or request to ask for evidence - i called customer service and found out about it).
Evidence received 04/17/2017
.... Nothing moving ... wait and wait. I LOST MY JOB. TOO LONG OF WAITING. I BELIEVE THAT DONT BOTHER TO EXPEDITE WITH THE PHONE NUMBER. IT WILL GO NOWHERE.
I got a job offer.
05/15/2017: I raised SR due to over 90 days since 02/10/2017 (out of normal processing time), and they raise SR and responded the case under review.
06/07/2017: I raised SR to ask about my case ( as it is way over 90 days of commited normal timing)
and raised SR to experdite
I lost another job offer and nothing happened to me ( no EAD/ No AP at this point).
06/15/2017: I received letter to mention that my case is currently under review
06/17/2017: Request InfoPass in Local Office ( for next week in person meeting)
06/ 17/2017: will send letter to congressman
06/22/2017: I received the request for evidence ( tax return 2016, seriously). I thought I was chasing the process.
06/29/2017: I was able to submit the tax return 2016.
I got the job offer again, but because of the REF, I am sure I will lose my job again.
This is the last hope to ask congressman.
06/30/2017: USCIS received it
7/01/2017: I asked to expedite from congressman with all of evidence/ documents in hand and exaplaining that I will lose my job if I do not receive EAD.
7/05/2017: the congressman to expedite my case
7/15/2017: Following up with congressman and still waiting
7/22/2017: My case is expediting after the congressman contacted
...wait
7/24/2017: contact congressan again to ask for the status
7/25/2017: Card in Production
7/27/2017: Mailed the card...
This time I do not lose my job since I can ask to extend a week.
I hope to receive the card soon....
This process is very frustrating and I hope all of us to know and expect this.
My Greeen card interview has not been scheduled yet. Still waiting.....
The key is: if you have the job offer, it is the best to contact congressman to expedite.
