  • JUNE 2016 I485 FILE DATE. NO INTERVIEW YET. Dallas Texas Office

I don't know what to do at this point. Im beyond frustrated. I filed my case in June 2016 Dallas Field Office. Don't remember the date of fingerprints but my case says ready to be scheduled for interview since August 15, 2016. Ive called immigration several times and spoken to level 2 officers many times as well. Ive done infopasses. Im getting the same message they are still adjudicating my case and will schedule me for an interview. I mean what could be wrong? Why the long wait. Ive been married to my husband for 3 years. And we have children together. i did not file for work permit because i did not need it. But now my drivers license is expiring this year so i might need some form of immigration document to renew. Ugh im losing hope. 14 months later. Does anyone have a similar situation? What did you do?

Maybe you can send work application. That would give you probably a EAD card and you can renew your driver license with that? I live in Dallas and sent my package on July 5th got my fingerprints app for August 3th.
Good luck hope somebody comes up with another answer for you,

In this cases some ppl suggest to contact your congressman and for now all of em were happy with the results so you should try, texas is behind on cases but your interview should've taken place about 2 months ago based on uscis proccesing times https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

I personally think something happened to USCIS on August 15, 2016. Mine too has been on that date with no changes, I have done infopass, Service Request, Expedited and several calls. Nothing has happened. I would suggest you apply for EAD using your I-485 copy of NOA. That will give you one year of driving license till you get your 10 year GC since you have been married for over 3 years.

              Dallas office messed up

Had my interview on April 4th 2017. Was handed the standard "we will review your case" paper by IO. Did a SR online on June 18 2017 as to what's up with my case as online status said ready to be interviewed. Typical answer that the adjudicator officer still hasn't made a decision on your case and I will be notified when they do. So I finally made an infopass appointment on 7-31-17 and guess what, the interviewing officer no longer is working at USCIS so the supervisor decides that I need to be rescheduled for another interview and now I got to wait 3 more months till a date comes up! Talk to my lawyer and he said basically that's the way it's going to be, there is nothing we can do to expedite my date so I am looking at November 2017 for my second interview yippee. Anyone out there has come across a case like this or knows if there is a solution to it please let me know.
              My PD was August 2016

Thank you. Yes i will apply for the EAD this coming week. I have contacted one of the congressmen here in texas this week. Hopefully they'll make an inquiry on my case and I'll hear from them. Goodluck to you too.

Wow. I had no idea the Dallas,TX office was this backlogged. Looks like its 1+ year to get an interview as it shows in your case. My PD is 1/31 and I haven't gotten any update since May that I received my EAD/AP Cards. Please keep us posted on how your interview goes! Congrats!

My PD is 7/27/17 and my 485 changed to ready to be scheduled for interview already. But I highly doubt that means I'll get my interview any time soon and jump the line
