New Edition of form i-485

Hello - We are filling out the new edition of i485 (which will be the only one accepted starting on 8/25/17) and it asks to list my employers, including the current one. So I add it, but on the "start date" and "end date" spots I can only add numbers and dashes (dates), but I would like to say that it is my current employer. I cant put a date since I don't want to say that I dont have the job anymore and I'm afraid to leave it blank. Anyone else has this issue?

You can leave it unfilled and then write in " present " with a black ink pen after you print it out.

you can leave it black for now and hand write in there "current" after you print form.

I had the same problem. I put the date I signed the form and explained in "additional information" the problem with filling the new edition online.
