Hi all

Does anyone have any experience with the wait times for interview in NJ. As if 7/20 my case is "ready to be scheduled for an interview ". I see Newark office is processing i486 as of June 2016, does that mean that my interview won't be scheduled for another year?

Hello everyone! I am a US citizen and married my husband in December. We filed our papers in early March 2017, got a letter of receipt and notice for biometrics 1-2 weeks later, as of April 12, 2017 we are ready to be scheduled for an interview. I've done some research and it seems the average wait time between biometrics and the interview is about 10 months.** (This is very circumstantial, as far as I've seen. Mine and my husband's case is very simple. He entered legally as a child, is currently protected by DACA, both have clean records, never had an order for deportation, have a lease on a house together, car insurance together, phone bill together, etc.) For accessibility, this is my timeline:
1. March 2017 filed our paperwork
2. 1-2 weeks later received receipt and notice for biometrics. Submitted the biometric information a week after that.
3. As of April 12th, 2017 our case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

Oh really? I heard it was easier back then. What did you do? Just wait? I am asking cause we didnt hear anything about our interview after 1 year 9 months. We filed end of dec 2015. My lawyer tells me we should writ a mandamus but 4000$ is very expensive for me. Please tell me what you did? I am beyond fraustrated.

Never ending wait

Applied under F2B catergory PD:3/7/17, newark field office. Last checked a few people that applied in Nov2016 received interview dates in October. Spoke with level 2 IO who says your just waiting on interview date to be available in Newark. The waiting is joking me

We just waited, wasn't any online place to check status. Worked out better, didn't have to get the 2 year one at all.

mine is 1 year 10 months already and no news from Interview. I am really frustrated. I know in a bigger pictur,e in all my life , 2 years is nothing but I am from Iran and it is a bad time. I have no crime record or anything. I dont even have driver license. I came as student and then switch to work visa and always legal here. I am also an architect so nothing related to nuclear power or government of Iran . I really dont see why it takes so long. I think they are ignoring us. .
