Hi All,
I have been assigned a position outside of continental US and my employer is reluctant to call it a fixed term contract since all international transfers are one-way. Although my case is different which is AOS through a spouse petition. So whats your advice since I have already spent more than a year waiting for the green card to arrive and if I leave now the whole process with the paid fees will go to waste.[My EAD and Adv Parole have expired.] What do I do now? Can my file be transfered to the local embassy? Should I use consular processing or Direct Consular filing? Please advice. If I wait outside will my current file be still valid? Will they send the Green card to my US address even if I am outside the country.
Please share your experiences.
