  • Adjustment of Status: Concurrent Filling(Concurrent filing of I-130, I-485, I-765)

    Hi good people,
I recently got married to my fiancee after 5 years of courtship and we filed our paperwork with USCIS to adjust status. Our package got delivered today, 08/16/17.
But I have a question and I'd appreciate answers from forum members. Before now I had a previously approved form I-130 petition that was filed on my behalf by my mum in 2013, but I could not adjust status then because PD was not current. My attorney said I should not bother myself about withdrawing that petition. She said since everything about the prior and new filing is genuine, then there is no problem. so we filed I-130, I-485, and I-765 afresh and concurrently. Is anyone familiar with this type of situation? Also, when should we expect to hear from USCIS?
    Kindly share your opinions.
    Thanks a lot

You will most likely to hear from them in 2 to 3 weeks from the day you filed

There can be multiple petitions; they do not conflict.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
