Hello,

I sent all my concurrent applications on 23rd August (Wednesday) and was delivered and signed for the very next day. I still haven't received any mail or sms notifying me of my case. Just worried if it actually takes this long as most people receive texts in the next couple of days.

Is there any no. i can call to check or follow-up or just wait with my fingers crosses.

Kindly advise.

I have been following this forum for a while and here is my timeline.
I am a US Citizen petitioning for my husband who overstayed his visa.

Married:5/14/17
Mailed applications to USCIS Chicago Lockbox: 8/7/17
Applications received by USCIS: 8/8/17
Fingerprint fee accepted: 8/11/17
Received text notifications: 8/14/17
I-797C for 4 applications mailed to me: 8/15/17
Received I-797C in mail: today 8/19/17

Feeling pretty pumped, although I know it's taking time. I do live in Houston, Texas and did the filing myself without assistance from a lawyer. My package was sent to the National Benefits Center from Chicago Lockbox.

Question: did you include the G-1145 e-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance form?

Appreciate your prompt response. I used a lawyers help to file them and i honestly feel we did not submit the G-1145. Is that the reason i still haven't received anything as yet?! It at least takes a load of me as i was wondering where the hell did my application disappear!!!

I think the notices by mail take about 2-3 weeks, hopefully will receive them this week or early next.

Yes, if you did not submit the G-1145 form, then you will not receive the text/e-mail notifications which usually should happen a day or two after Chicago Lockbox receives your applications. Once you get the I-797 receipts, then you can check the status of your cases. Mind you, keeping track of your cases on the USCIS website may be not up to date. I did not receive any notification for my biometrics appointment online but I did receive it in mail. So I receive USPS mail scans every morning (except Sundays and holidays) so I know if there is anything coming my way that is from USCIS. My PD is 6/5 and I have not gotten any update since 6/17.

Thank you once again!! You said your PD is 6/5, I'm sure you done with your Biometrics and have you received your EAD as yet? I'm filing from Jersey city (NJ) and think they send the documents to the Vermont Service Center. Any clue on their speed of processing?

I currently hold EAD from DACA which is expiring January 2018. For the EAD through AOS, unfortunately nothing yet but I did submit a case inquiry on 9/2.

I called up the USCIS Lockbox number sometime back and asked for a call back from one of the representatives. They did call me and after the initial verification, i managed to get my receipt nos!!!They have also mailed me the Notice of Actions for all forms submitted. Was also informed that my Biometrics is on Monday, 18th September.

Hope all gets done quickly!!!

PD is 24th August.

No updates on mine yet, I have a lawyer who filled it for me but I doubt they sent the form for notifications via txt and email, also I am not sure yet if cheques are cashed yet or not. I have reached out to my lawyer to find out let's see. My service center is Texas, but this biometrics would be NJ as well.
