Transferring to different state

Hi. I have posted earlier back regarding my cases but my I-485 and I-130 cases on the status check website have not changed since I first submitted the applications back in August. Now, I'm in the process of moving out of state (from Georgia to Indiana) and I have submitted the address change for all cases. Does anyone have experience with this? I read online that my cases would be transferred from Georgia to Indiana but how long can I expect for that to happen?

I moved from New York to New Jersey recently and did the address change online. It was a pretty simple procedure. My file was originially sent to the National Benefits Center so my moving didn't require a transfer of my cases.

Did they ask for RFE?
I contacted USCIS couple days ago and they said my I-765 cannot be processed because they are waiting for RFE of my I-485. I'm waitng for RFE letter to see what they need.

I did, for the I864, income, when it was ok... Got the RFE on 09/06 , sent the response on 09/18 and they sent me the "received RFE response" on 09/22 today was my first update since...

My PD is 24th August 2017 and got my EAD and AP
early November last year. Still nothing on the interview and has been more than 6 months since we filed. Service center is Newark, NJ.

Thought I would share my timeline with everyone here. I was initially a June filer but got an RFIE which set my PD back to August 2017 so I guess I should count my PD from August.

(Marriage Based AOS from F1-OPT)
6/5/2017 Package sent to Chicago lockbox via USPS
6/7/2017 USPS delivered to lockbox
6/21/2017 i-485 Fingerprint Fee Was Received
6/8/2017 i-130 Case Was Received
6/8/2017 i-131 Case Was Received
6/8/2017 i-765 Case Was Received
6/28/2017 Initial cases received notices arrived
7/23/2017 RFIE received for income (although income was well above 125%, decided to comply rather than going back and forth)
8/4/2017 Response to RFIE received by USCIS (New PD)
10/15/2017 EAD AP Received
2/2/2018 Interview notices for March 8 arrived via mail

So waiting for the interview now and trying to gather paperwork for everything. Although there was some initial setbacks I am glad it is nearing completion now. Any tips or suggestions for the interview will be highly appreciated and good luck to everyone waiting for their interview dates.

Hello! Any update with the August filers here?

My PD: 8/8/2017
Case was approved quickly. But when i had my address changed everything went crazy. I got approval notice for my ead and travel on Nov 2017, but since i had changed my address my combo card was delivered back to uscis. I called uscis couple months ago and told me that my address was not updated (makes me confused because i received the confirmation and the letter in my new address). I ask to update it again with my new address and requested to resend the card. I talked to a level 2 officer and told me that he emailed directly to the source of the card and need to wait for 30days for them to reply back. Been hoping that i'll be receiving the combo card in the mail this coming days. It's almost 3 weeks now but i havent receive anything. I supposed to have the combo card since Nov 2017, till now i havent got it.

Been asking my lawyer what to do since my application is out of the normal processing days. Just told me to keep on patiently waiting.

I've done several SRs but they're all pointless. The only response I ever received was that there's currently a backlog at the National Benefits Center. I even sent a letter (advised by a USCIS officer when I went in to hopefully get information), but I've gotten no response.

I finally contacted my congressman a couple weeks ago, so I'm waiting patiently.

My timeline:

Biometrics done early in September
October 16: RFE information received


I really don't understand why the wait is so long. The processing time online is 2.5 to 5 months. They're currently working on November 3rd for I-131. The unexplained wait is just so frustrating.

I am a Canadian citizen married to H1b, I moved to US on H4.

We applied for AOS separately, he applied in April and mine was filed after I moved in Aug, 2017. We got married in Jan2017.

He already got his EAD/AP in Aug and still waiting for interview. Whereas me I haven?t even got EAD/ AP yet.

Questions:

1) is it possible I won?t get EAD/AP and straight interview?

2) do you know if our interviews are going to be separate or since I am follow to join, mine would be with him when he gets his?

3) I read anyone else listed on primary applicants application has to join for interview? So will I have 2 interviews or both will have 2 interviews?

Silent Reader, Still Waiting

Hello everybody,

This will be my first post on this forum. I was a silent reader but today I wanted to share my process with you all.

We sent the AOS (married with a USC) package through my lawyer in August 11, 2017. I am not good at dates, so all I can say is I got my 3 receipts, my biometrics is done. I got my EAD and my SSN in November. Since then I?m waiting for my interview date. I didn?t get any RFE?s, I don?t know if they ask after this time. I didn?t talk to anybody about my process, no SR, no congressman. Still just waiting and I think this waiting is quite normal right now. I understand that so many people are doing this and it?s normal to wait for that long. My counsin had the same process and she applied in October 2016, got her card in August 2017. I?m just hoping to get my interview before November. If I can?t, then later November is okay because we?ll be in a trip to Walt Disney World for 10 days. We?re still paying it, I don?t want to cancel my trip lol

I am thinking the same thing. With this delay, it is a good idea to renew my EAD card as I am working. By the way, I did not get AP for the first time. Can I apply for advance parole with new EAD?
