Try calling the customer service line instead. I called, and i had no problem submitting the inquiry. The lady put it in as an inquiry due to waiting period coming to the end or something. She gave me a reference number.

Thank you! Could you tell me what number options you picked to get to an actual person?

I called 1 800 375 5283. It is the number that is on all your NOAs. You have to go through a menu system. Just select for existing application/file, then the update and then talk to a person about issues. Something like that. Its an annoying menu, but you do get a person, although i am not sure if its a 24hr service.

Good luck! Let us know how you fair.

        • Update on Day 76(Monday, October 23rd I submitted a service request for the I-765 which has yet to be assigned), today Day 80 (October 27 I received an updated case text message saying EAD was approved)

I have been following this forum for a while and here is my timeline.
I am a US Citizen petitioning for my husband who overstayed his visa.

          Married:5/14/17
Mailed applications to USCIS Chicago Lockbox: 8/7/17
          Applications received by USCIS: 8/8/17
          Fingerprint fee accepted: 8/11/17
          Received text notifications: 8/14/17
I-797C for 4 applications mailed to me: 8/15/17
Received I-797C in mail: today 8/19/17

Feeling pretty pumped, although I know it's taking time. I do live in Houston, Texas and did the filing myself without assistance from a lawyer. My package was sent to the National Benefits Center from Chicago Lockbox.

Thanks! I called, but the lady told me I could not raise an SR as I was still within the processing time (I'm on day 81). Quite frustrating.

Wrong . Its typical of the misinformation hotline most are outsourced minimum wage workers with no clue what the hell they are talking about. You are eligble read them the extract from the USCIS website. If they dont want to do it ask to speak to level two officer. Be demanding most people here know more then those callcenter agents

Well technically the original processing time was 75-90 days for the EAD but now it has gotten longer. Just trying to think reasonably since they don't just receive one or two applications, they receive hundreds and thousands of them.
