  • distinction between physical addresses and residences for G-325A and I-130A

    Hi,
I'm filling those two forms as I'm concurently filling Adjustement of Status and Petion for Alien (my husband is filling it for me). I'm here as a visitor with the Waiver Visa Program. And I've been visiting the US for 1 to 3 months duration the last year. I was then staying with my boyfriend/now husband but as a visitor. So my residence was still technichly in France, right?
I'm not sure if I'm clear, but I guess my question is should I consider "physical addresses" same than "residences"? Or is "physical address" any addresses where I stayed for more than a week/a month (?) for the last 5 years?
    Thanks for your help!

You are filing G-325 for I485? could you double check if your I485 form is the latest? G-325 is not required anymore, which is indicated in the instruction very clearly.
    PD: 08/30/2017

11/14/2017, I-765 status was changed to "New card is being produced".
11/16/2017, I-765 status was changed to "Card was Mailed To Me".
11/18/2017, Approval notices were received in mail for I-765 and 1-131. they would be valid for one year.
    11/20/2017, Combo card was delivered.
    09/06/2018, EAD renewal was received.
    09/17/2018, Fingerprint Review was completed.
    11/19/2018, Interview was scheduled.

Hi, Thanks for the info. My I-485 is the 06/27/17 version. You are right, just seeing the mention in the instruction. Do I have to fill a G-335 for the I-130 (either for the beneficiary or the the petioner). I beleive I don't have to but asking to check in.
Do you know what means "physical address" as asked in the I-130? If I'm was in the US for 3 months or 1 month as a visitor, should I put it in as a physical address?

      Thanks again

I searched all instruction for I-130 i was not able to find anything about G325. Ok You are filling I485 right? in the I485 instruction first paragragh "Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, is used by A PERSON IN THE UNITED STATES to apply for lawful permanent resident status." so of course you should stay in US in order to use I-485 then it makes sense to put your US address into the physical address since you have to be in US to use I-485.

In I130 you can put the address you intent to live in and your address overseas like France.(item 12 13 respectively)

This is just my understanding but I am positive that you have to be stay in US in order to use I-485.

Hi, thanks a lot for checking in the I-130 instructions.
My current is in the US, that's what I state in both I-130 and I-485. My doubt is on the "Address History" Page 1, Part 1 of I-130A that asks to "Provide your physical addresses of the last 5 years.
What would be the definition of "physical address" here?
