Insurance did not cover the medical exam for me, everything came up to around $500.

Got my EAD/AP card in the mail today as well. Where are you filing from?

                        • My insurance didnt cover it either.
All I can say is call every doctor who is uscis licensed in your area because the prices are very different. I paid $350 with everything included. Price range was anywhere between $300 and even $1500 in my area. ( Seattle)

Congratulations!! Your health insurance may not cover the exam but they may cover the tuberculosis screening, vaccines, and STD testing. Instead of getting a PPD get an IGRA/tspot it’s the same test for TB just blood and it’s more accurate. I only paid 175 for my exam in Mesa,AZ.

Go ahead with the SR. It cost nothing, and the website instructions advised we do it after 75 days of no updates.
