09/25/2017 - case accepted ,received 4 text messages and 4 emails late at night
12/11/2017 - EAD/ AP APPROVED received two weeks later aprox
9/14/2018 - Case updated: we will schedule your interview.

Our timelines are pretty similar. In fact, our case was accepted a few weeks before yours so I am hoping we get a notice very soon!

Focus on CONCRETE evidence of bona fide marriage. Advance health care directives, affidavit of residence, Financial power of attorney. And show the longevity of your relationship, as well as describe in detail how you commingle your finances. The financial commingling section should be the most detailed. Don't expect them to connect the dots for you.

You will be fine. You have plenty of time to prepare.

Was trying to send a private message, but cant figure out how... i havent received the mail yet. Online status changed on mon but its states, they scheduled an interview sept 14th. So i have no idea yet, when the interview will be.

Hey ATL filer here. Our case status updated on the 14th to interview scheduled as well, but we haven't got the mail notice either. I called and spoke to tier 2 who was able to provide me with the interview date. Ours is scheduled for Oct 22 so I'm sure yours will be around the same time. Good luck!

So do you think the advanced healthcare directive is still necessary even if we have a lot of other evidence (ex: joint lease for last 4+ years, shared insurance and other bills, designated life insurance beneficiary, joint credit cards, various trips and holidays together, etc.)? I wasn't going to do the HCD since my spouse would be the person designated by law to make healthcare decisions for me anyway if I can't...

My thoughts were the same with the HCD. Your spouse is automatically defaulted to make those decisions for you anyway, right? Seems redundant to put all that effort in for the same result. Unless I am totally missing something which is very likely. haha

The Advance health care directive is not about USCIS. Neither is the financial power of attorney. You do not want people fighting over what they think might be your end-of-life wishes. You also do not want your spouse having to argue with family over property, life insurance policies and ultimately, money.

Thanks for sharing Osalion. My PD was in July but after response to RFE it's now August 2017. Hopefully the interview is just around the corner now. Especially with your PD being after mine. Crossing my fingers!

I know! My PD is 9/5/2017. I have a good feeling we will both get some good news soon. I have been super patient through this process but I am starting to lose it. :P
