And as i understand it is free for me,isn't it ?
Yep, you can apply. Just send a copy of your NOA for your i-485 with your application. And yes it's free. I the AP is taking around 5-6 months on average at the minute.

    Good luck.

Hey , yes same for me but only my I-131 status changed to approved lol after like 2 months .
I would expect to hear something for my interview next month . Currentlyprocessing time for local office is 7 months roughly so yes . If not after 6 months you can usually raise I-485 SR so it will be early next month for me .

Of course you can and should have long time ago . I dont think it will be reaching you before green card interview but currently you see EAD/AP approved in 60-90 days looking at new fillers so you could get lucky in two months maybe . You will not recieve new card but two letters which will be your advance parole document. One you arrive with CBP agent at border one is for you to get stamped . It kind of sucks compared to Combo card because if you live close to border (Canada/Mexico) They will swipe your card just like green card if you come across walking or with car , no questions asked .Ive done it many times since I live very close to Mexico and its so good . They dont give you advance parole stamp with combo card . But with letters you will have to go inside the office . If you leave with airplane you will always have to do secondary inspection so yes just as side note

As expected..it was really a bunch of random questions to try to get the whole picture of how you met, got engaged, married, etc. The one I was not expecting at all was he just asked me "who is so and so" (my boss from summer camp where we met) which I'm pretty positive I didn't stated anywhere...so he probably did some research on my most recent employer and asked us both (separately) who is that person.

Another one was he was questioning me and my husband (separately) on my ex-boyfriend...needless to say that his answers were mostly wrong as we don't really talk about him...why would we, right...but I found it kinda weird and completely irrelevant to be even questioned about something like that...especially when that was three years ago and not relevant to our case..in my point of view.

But over all he was asking all sorts of personal questions about my family, his family, his job, ...different questions for either of us but with the intention to get (or not) the same answer/result... all the expected really...I feel like he was digging more in the past then in the present as he didn't ask questions I'd expect the most, like "what side of the bed do you sleep on" or "how does your wife drink her coffee" etc.

Has anybody else gone through the interview or am I the first/only one so far???

Did somebody submit financial hardship through the congressman to process the case? What kind of evidence you sent? Thank you

but we didn't get any mailed from USCIS for a rescheduled Interviewed

                • Silence

                  Hi everyone,

I haven't posted here but I've been reading and following along diligently and I'm concerned. My husband and I live in Connecticut and we filed all our paperwork concurrently and here's our timeline:

September 28th: Mailed out our paperwork to Chicago lockbox overnight
                  September 29th: Received
                  October 6th: Checks cashed
                  October 9th: Text receipt notice
October 10th: 3 checks came back to us in the mail as we didn't have to pay for a form or two since we were filing concurrently
October 14: Received receipt letter in the mail
October 20th: Fingerprint (biometrics) letter received
                  October 30: Biometrics done

                  Annnnnd that's it.

Online I have 3 case statuses (I-765, I-130, I-485) that say they received the application on September 29th and that I would receive my receipt notice by October 29th. My case has been active for 133 days. I filed a service request on day 85 and called after 30 days to get an update. I spoke to a Tier 2 representative who couldn't inform me when I could expect a response for the service request or the actual EAD. I filed a second SR online and I'm waiting to hear back/call them after 30 days.

Is this normal? Is anyone else experience such a delay/silence? I haven't received any notice about the EAD or an interview or an RFE or anything. I feel like our paperwork is just lost somewhere at this point (I know it's not but, that's the feeling). Any help or response would be appreciated.

                  Thank you!

Im sorry, thats awfully stressful...i got everything done fast at the beginning, but am stopped still for now to, waiting ...this is the longest , since we filed, so i keep checking and shaking catalogs in my mail, thinking, my interview notice is just between that junk mail..not used to not hearing from them...but seems like everyone waits for interview letters the longest...u shouldve had EAD at this point..its been way too long...i got my EAD after two months after filling...good luck, hopefully ull get it soon!

                      Hi,

It seems like I'm experiencing a similar situation regarding my case (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131). I live in Baltimore so it probably doesn't help you in terms of action but I wanted to share my timeline so you don't feel alone at this point!

I started my application beginning of September filing from Baltimore and we haven't heard anything since Oct, 5:

09/06 - FEDEX sent to Chicago
09/08 - Application received by USCIS Chicago
09/13 - Electronic notice of application
09/15 - Notice of application in mail
09/22 - Notice of appointment for biometrics
10/05 - Appointment to USCIS for biometrics

I also filed e-requests regarding my EAD that haven't been answered and when I called back in January, they only told me that my applications were being processed according to the pile of applications they receive and nothing since.

It seems like most people get there EAD pretty quickly (within the 90 days of application) and I can't explain why it isn't our case.
I hope it helps you a bit even if it doesn't give you practical information on how to get things moving again...

                      Good luck with your case!

                      • REF at AOS Intrview

I was interviewed on Jan 30, 2018 for AOS application with my wife as the US citizen petitioner. We were asked separetely for 15 min a few questions which we answered all correctly. I gave all the documents/evidence needed . The IO give us REF I-130 for my wife to send her divorce decree .we send the ref to the local office the stutus online not changed and I am worry how long this will take now waiting for GC.
Please help me if you have any idea or had this kind of experience.

                        Thanks!

Anybody has any idea what to expect after the interview or how long things take...it's been a month since and I haven't heard anything...over all I think our interview went well...didn't even had any REF or seemed like the officer wasn't missing anything as he didn't ask for much apart for pictures.....so any idea what happens next?? Or is it just the waiting time now and anxious checking of your mailbox???

So I don't know if I'm the only one but the fact that this forum went so awfully quiet in the past month or two makes me seriously nervous...as I took this as "my safe heaven/nerves calming" place to make sure everything is going ok...is everyone in a waiting limbo right now?

Have you had the interview yet? I did Jan 17 but the officer didn't tell us a thing...I haven't even got an idea how it went as he was very secrete about it. I don't even know when I'm supposed to find out anything about the result...it's nerve wrecking! Pittsburgh processing times say April 17..don't know if that means they are giving a decision on those or just going thrugh the cases...as I filled Sep 15 and already had the interview.
