    My story

I am a permanent resident now but I will always be a Dreamer. I was fortunate to be able to travel to my home country and back on AP via DACA but it was a scary prospect. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make thus far in my life. It's easy for people to say DACA recipients should have travel in order to be able to adjust status. It's a very high risk as you don't know if you will be able to re-enter. I cried and prayed for almost a month over my decision to leave America for 5 days to go bury my mother in my native country. If my mother did not die I would never have left due to the fear of the unknown. My lawyer advised me not to travel outside of the US, I called multiple immigration borders to speak to immigration officers to find out the criteria and requirements to be able to return HOME safely. It was the love for my mom, the pain and heartache that drove me to leave, I did not care about being able to adjust my status during that period.
The bank idea might not have any effect but I have to stand with my DREAMERS in any way that I can. I have had conversations with a delegate in my area to see what we as a community can do to support DACA.
If anyone have any ideas, please share!!!
