  • Second Marriage USC interview!

I have been read the forum for couples years ago. In 2010, I came to US as an international student in SEATTLE. I met my ex husband who is American Mexican and got married in 2013, I was 19. My ex husbands filed the papers for my GC. I had 3 interview and no answer. We were too tired and stressed out about everything for over 2 years with no answers. We started fightings a lot and we got divorce in 2015 and withdrawn the papers. At that time, I was under OPT work permit only 1 years valid for my university. I moved to Washington DC from Seattle looking for a new life. A years later, I met a man who is my husband now. I wanted to leave the US and go back my country because I left everything behind the 1st marriage. But my husband try to hold me back and we filed a paper for the Green Card again. And I was out of status when I filed the second time. I hired a attorney who helps me prepare all the papers. I filed i485, i130, EAD/AP..Here is my timeline:
    PD: July 05, 2017
    Reciept date: July 10, 2017
    Bio Apt: August 04, 2017
    Interview notice: August 18,2017
And interview Schedule on Oct 13, 2017
    Field Office: Cincinnati, OH

I haven't get anything about i765 yet. I was so worry about upcoming interview. Anyone see my timeline is so fast and why i got interview letter before I765?

I filed for AOS originally in 1989 with my ex-wife and received an I-551 stamp in my passport. We separated and divorced before two years and never completed the process.

Fast forward to January this year and I field for AOS with my current wife.

I received my I-765 approval on 5/3 (which was Day 103 after filing) and the following day (5/4) I received my Interview notice for 6/7.

We had our interview on 6/7 & received approval on 6/8.

I had been out of status for many years when we filed and I received a 10 year green card in my hands on 6/16.

Start to finish our case took 150 days. I had an EAD for a grand total of 36 days before I had my Green Card in hand.

Our field office is Los Angeles and we self filed. No RFE's.

The interview was straight forward and cordial and the IO indicated he had no concerns over the case and just had to check some procedural issues with his supervisor which he expected to be resolved within a few days at the most. And like I said‚ we received approval the following day.

Wow.... your case is going really fast we have the exact same dates on the process I live in Dallas and since finger prints I haven't heard anything about my case, no updates and around here apparently cases are taking a long time.
This is my second marriage and also second time submitting a green card application. The first process I left unfinished.
I'm glad to hear everything is moving fast with your case. Don't worry I'm sure you will be fine. Good luck and please let us know about your interview.
