  • Consequences for waiting to submit I-693 at interview

I decided to wait to submit the medical I-693 form to avoid having it expire before the interview, but I have since run into some trouble. I received a request for initial evidence (stating I can submit the form at the interview, and NOT to submit any documents at this time), but My Case Status update states that no action will be taken on my case until they receive the documents requested.

What have others experienced when waiting to submit the I-693?
    Did you get an RFIE?
Did your case status change in a similar way to mine?

I would appreciate to hear about other's experiences and how it turned out.

Sharing an update! I spoke to a very helpful person with USCIS. He explained that I do not have to do anything at this point and that my case is not on hold - the message on My Case Status stating that no action will be taken until they receive my documents is a generic update that everybody receiving an RFIE gets. In my case, it does not apply to me as I can submit the medical form at the interview.
