Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I don't know if this the correct way to ask this, but I need help about the e-request service. I applied for green card almost a year ago, below are my times
PD: 10/14/2016
Biometrics: 11/07/2016
Case Update: 01/18/2017 "Name was updated"
I've called USCIS phone number two times and I talked to a level 2 agent. They told me I shouldn't worry about "Name was updated" notification since I haven't changed my name. The second time the agent said the I-485 is taking a year for processing, but my field office (Miami) is currently processing case dated November 9, 2016 as of today September 18th. Now, my question is. Should I make an e-request under this circumstance or I shouldn't worry and still wait?
