A "combo card" is an EAD card (I-766 card) which has the text "serves as I-512L Advance Parole" written on it, so it serves as both an EAD and and Advance Parole at the same time. When you apply for an EAD and Advance Parole at the same time, they usually issue you a combo card instead of the EAD and Advance Parole separately. If they issued the EAD and Advance Parole separately, you would have an EAD card that doesn't say it serves as Advance Parole, and two sheets of paper for the standalone Advance Parole.
