I-485 filling fee is for each person or it is for family of two mentioned in I-485

Hello Everyone,

Please excuse me for my ignorance. I would like to know if the I-485 filling fee is per person fee? The confussion stems from the fact that I am assuming there will be one I-485 if applying for myself and my wife. If I need to apply two I-485s, then I think the answer is clear.

The filing fee is per applicant

Only the persons who are adjusting status would need to apply for adjustment of status

On what basis are you both adjusting your status?

My I-140 is in process under EB-1C and the priority date will become current from October 2. Hence, filling I-485 petition.

In that case, both of you will be adjusting your status, and each of you will file your own Form I-485's, and each of you will pay the filing+biometric fees
