    Hello

Thank you for reading our IO interview experience. I am glad you found applicable sections. You have some great evidence already, beautiful! What you can do is think of a few more, like bills, parking tickets or others but you do have some major ones. So no worries. Provide photocopies, remember dates, discuss or do mock interview with your hubz and go get that 10year green card.

    All the best.

These threads contain everything you need to file all the required evidence of bona fide marriage with your AOS package - as required by the I-130 instructions page 3/12.(See screenshot below). You will find very useful tips on how to stage your evidence for your initial filing and for your interview.

      8. Thread by Tezza. Approved on the spot. This case is remarkable because their interview was scheduled within 2 to 3 months. Tezza did not have a lease, and presented several notarized affidavits of residence to prove that they lived with his wife?s parents. He also presented an Advanced health care directive. I highly recommend this document. USCIS takes it very seriously. Bottom line is that they maximized the evidence they had available. They focused on evidence dating back to when they first met until the adjustment of status interview. (It?s sort of the way you would present evidence for a k-1 visa)

        • Miami October 2017 Filer - Any Advice?!

          Hi Guys!

Filing detail below. We are getting REALLY anxious because we want to get a mortgage, but no one will even speak to us if all my husband has is an EAD. They all require visas. He came here on a K1 fiance visa and is now awaiting approval of his I-485. SO FRUSTRATING. Any advice on this? Anyone on a similar timeline?

During the interview, the officer reviewed the info with us about 130 and 485. He told us that 130 was pre approved. Then asked my husband why he decided to marry quickly and how we met (Only these two questions). Also asked if I had more photos to show. Even I prepared a lot of the documents, the officer didn?t want to see.

Thank you again for the help and support from all of you and wish everyone best of luck. If you have any question about the interview etc, pls feel free to ask.

            Kind regards

Hmmm... you may want to connect with user Kaylip. If I remember correctly, Kaylip and husband started looking into mortgages through an organization that was OK with Kaylip being in the middle of the AOS process. I do not recall the name of the organization.

              All the best,

              • GC of Washington, DC filer is received

                Hi All,

I just want to update everyone that we have recieved our GC today!! Woohoo.
Just a reminder, that we filed on October 19, 2017. Recieved EAD in the beginning of February 2018. We recieved the invite for the interview on July 13, and the interview date was August 17, 2018.

The interview was pretty quick. The officer asked us how we met, when he proposed, how many people attended our wedding. She looked at the pictures and was very nice through the whole interview.

Be prepared, come with a lot of evidence, and do not be afraid. Good luck to everyone else!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You would think that the process would be faster for those whose I-130 petitions has already been approved. But it isn't, which blows my mind. While it's fantastic that you already have that approval under your belt, you still want to make sure that you focus on the longevity of your relationship when staging your evidence. Focus on CONCRETE evidence of bona fide marriage.
Technically, the focus of the I-485 interview should be admissibility; especially, if the I-130 has already been approved. However, I would cover all your bases and follow the format of Emerald 2020's Table of Contents found on this thread. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...interview-tips

                      • Update!!

                        Hi everyone!!

I just wanted to give an update. We had our interview here in the Baltimore field office on August 30th. The IO was very friendly. He went over our answers on the 130 and 485 forms. He then asked for any documentation we had, so I gave him utility bills, credit cards, car insurance, health insurance and bank accounts that we have in both names. I even had copies of our six flags passes! lol After that, he asked how we met. We both responded and gave our story of our meeting. He said he had already looked at the photos I submitted with the application, so he didn't take any more pics from us. We were given a form letter that said he had all the info he needed and he had 120 days to respond to our case.

The following week we went on vacation to Jamaica and my husband used his Advanced Parole on his EAD card with no problems. When we arrive in Baltimore after our trip they took his picture and fingerprints, then escorted us to another area where the IO looked up the info in the computer then stamped my husband's passport. That was it, so don't be afraid to travel using your AP!!

We got an email last night that my husband's card is being produced!!! So, four weeks from the interview for approval.

I wanted to update because this site was so helpful to me when I was completing my husband's paperwork and we were going through the process.

Well, congrats on completing your interview! You will get your approval. Had there been a pressing issue, the Immigration Services Officer would have issued a RFE or Notice of Intent to Deny. That did not happen. So you're all good on that end. Just wait for your approval.

                            • So excited! Yesterday, hubby got a text that our interview has been scheduled. Just anxiously waiting on the letter in the mail now to know the date. I was getting nervous because we applied for his renewal combo card last week and it was on the later side. Hopefully, things go smoothly and this green card gets approved before January when the combo card expires anyway.

I?m pregnant now, so I?d really like things to be settled.
