I cannot check My Case Status as well.

Do you have any update? Did you receive invitation to biometrics?

      I have sent forms i130, i131a, i485, i765 and i131 to Chicago's office on 10/10/17.
I have received I-797 Notice for each form with a date of receipt 10/16/17. (date of notice is 10/20/17).

I can see my receipt number on the I797, but when I try to enter it to see my case status - it keeps saying "Validation error... You are attempting to add a receipt number that does not exist in My Case Status.."
I have called USCIS to see what's going on and they said it can take 30-45 days to update my case...
Does anyone among applicants filed in October has had such an issue?

I can see a lot of you got their invitation for biometrics shortly after receiving notice that USCIS got your documents.

I am worried because I cannot see my case status online and have not received an invitation for biometrics via mail.

I cant see mine either. My best bet was to sign up for informed delivery with USPS to make sure i won't have missing mails

        Optimistic?

Hey guys what do you think of USCIS New processing times? It says as of September 30th, NBC is processing i-765 and i-131 at September 15 2017! I know I shouldn't get all excited but maybe we can expect something as early as December?? lol

I am so irritated since we went through a lawyer so I thought everything should have been sent.. But apparently not?
Did you get the RFIE mail as yet? And don't be too upset, it can be that they just misplaced something. One thing it shows though, they're actually working on your case! And it might not even affect the timeline of your case. I see too many examples where people get RFIE and still manage to get there green card as early as 5-6 months from PD!

No we haven't gotten it yet, hopefully soon. Yes I read that as well so I have calmed down, I also read that since we are doing the adjustment of status for my husband from temporary protected status (9th district state) that some of the immigration officers aren't aware of the court ruling and so you need to send in a copy of the court ruling since we don't have an I-94. I will update as soon as I get the RFIE. Thanks for your support! This is such a stressful thing we are all going through.

            Hi Katya,

I still haven't received the invitation for biometrics yet! From reading other posts it seems the biometrics appointment is scheduled for about a month after the applications are received. They received our applications on October 19th, so it's already November 9th and we haven't received anything yet!

No problem dear! We are all on the same journey, I just want everyone to have their GC in their hands soon! Everyone I think have goals, dreams and aspirations they would like to accomplish. And i'm hoping you get it soon so you can start working on it. Keep us updated and keep your mind distracted with other things to lessen the stress...easier said than done but things will work out! Praying helps too!

Walked in and did biometrics today. They were a little busy. We arrived at about 11 am, and it took about 45 min.

11/9/17: Rec'd Request for Initial Evidence
Want a copy of his admission; which we don't have since we are filling under the 9th District Ramirez v Brown. Spoke to the lawyers office which had not yet received the RFIE yet and since it is a holiday they most likely won't. But they said they would speak to the lawyer and ask how they want to proceed and keep us informed.
I have read that we need to send a copy of the 9th district decision to USCIS.
I feel like this is an intimidation tactic on behalf of USCIS since they have to know the current laws right?
At least things are moving and they didn't need anything else.

Ohhh I see, I don't know much about adjusting under that category but I hope your lawyer can help you in this situation. There's always a solution for everything, i'm happy you received the actual mail so you know what it is they want. In relation to the tactics they use...who knows? Maybe the officer working on your case isn't that knowledgeable about the Ramirez v Brown type cases.

Another thing hun, do they send RFIE on a colored paper?

Spoke to the Lawyers Office, the lawyer has to sit down and write a letter explaining to the Immigration Office the new law and how it affects our case. Unfortunately since this is new it is something that is going to take some time she can't just copy and paste a previously written letter.

And I agree it is either the officer isn't knowledgeable or they want to intimidate people. I am just glad that we have a lawyer to help with this.

And yes ours came on yellow paper.
