  • Please help: My a# changed

As a dreamer, I renewed my DACA twice and my A# never changed, but now that I am going through the process and getting my Residency they just sent me my Employment Authorization Card and my A# changed. Has this happened to anyone else? Please Advice

I was a DACA recipient, however when I applied to adjust my status, my A# didn't change.

I filed for AOS originally via marriage to a USC in 1989 and received an A#. I received an I-551 stamp in my passport after the interview but we never completed the process as we separated and divorced prior to two years. I filed again this year with my current wife (also a USC) and submitted the paperwork with my existing A#. I received my 10 year green card in June and it retains the same A# I was originally issued in 1989.
