RFE for EAD/AP but not I-485

Question. I know what the USCIS says but we are confused. We were issued for my wife and RFE on October 26. Her overseas medical expired on October 25. They gave us an RFE only for the work and travel permits. Not the I-485. What could that be from? I just wanna see what people think because now waiting we are both stressed and have to wait. Could it be her medical and have to get a new one being it was so close to the date? I mean within a day? I know if its filed withing 1 year than its not needed I thought. Her biometrics was August 7 for both. But they issued a request for "Initial Evidence" not additional evidence. And it was only for the EAD and AP. Not the I-485. But now we are stressed because why would they issue an RFE for EAD and AP but nothing for the I-485? I know we need to wait and see but its the weekend and having to think about this all weekend now has us both stressed out. We filed everything that was asked for. I saw 1 lawyer say they may issue an RFE for something already filed because they are back loaded with cases and that part has to be issued in 90 days so they may issue the RFE just to buy them time to catch up? I dont know. All I know is this is not what we expected to see and especially for just the EAD and AP. Thank you.
