Dallas tx pd june 2016- no interview yet

At this point guys im losing my mind. I do not know what to do. I have a spotless background same as my husband.
I filed i485 in june 2016. Fingerprints in july 2016. Ready to be scheduled for interview since August 15 2016. I have raised multiple service requests, i have had senator in texas raise a request and also done multiple infopass. Still i am not getting very clear answers why i have not gotten an interview. Everytime i feel they give me a different answer. I just filed for work permit Aug 2017 because although i didnt need it before, now my drivers license is expiring in dec and i need it to renew my DL. The work permit still has not come yet either. Please help i dont know what to do anymore. Has anyone else been thru this?

It seems like Dallas is reaaaally backlogged. My PD is 1/31/2017, and I am just waiting for the interview in Dallas field office as well. My case hasn't even been updated to "scheduled for interview". I submitted a service request online 8/7 which they never got back to me on. Called their number and made a second request there and got a reply Sep 19 that said:

"USCIS systems indicate that your case is awaiting an interview. Your local USCIS Field Office will contact you once they are able to schedule the appointment. Should you not be contacted by your local USCIS Field Office within 90 days of this notice"

Anyone applying through Dallas that has gotten their case through??

I applied in Dallas in October 2016. I just did my interview last week. So the process took about 13 months. Still waiting on a decision though.

Your situation is a bit weird, it's taking way too long. Try scheduling an appointment with the Dallas Field Office.

You can renew your DL based on your pending work permit application or i-485 application. I've done it before. Go to the DPS and bring the USCIS letters that you've received proving that you have pending USCIS applications. They will make copies of them, and confirm with the USCIS. This process will take about 2 weeks. You will receive a letter from the DPS in mail when they have confirmed your immigration status telling you to go again to the DPS with that letter to renew your DL. Mine was renewed for a year.
