Hi there,
I am filling up the NEW I-485 form but I have some questions which I could not find clear answers in the instructions from USCIS (or anywhere else) :
a) Where should I NOT leave an answer blank but instead write N/A or None?
For example (for my specific situation NEVER married and ZERO children) :
Part 1. Item 2.a I do NOT have any other names. Should I just leave these fields blank or input NONE or N/A in item 2.a?
The question says "if applicable" so would this mean that I can just leave it blank (as it is not applicable to my case)?
Same for Items 1.c., 10, 11, 13.a., 14.a., 16 (I have used a passport and not a travel document), 25.c.
Part 2. Same for items 5.a., 2.a.
Part 4. Same for items 2.a.
Part 5. Same for items 4.a., 8.a., 9.a., 11.a.,
Part 6. Same for item 2.a.
I would very much appreciate if someone can provide specific information about each item listed or a sample form.
b) Part 1. Item 22.a. I have been inspected and entered the USA with a H1B visa status. What do I write in this field? "Temporary worker" or "H-1B visa"?
Item 23.c Do I write again here "H-1B" (as written in my I-94) or "class of admission". Note that for both items, the form would not let me input "H-1B" so I will need to hand-write it, right?
Item 24. My status has NOT changed since my arrival. Should I nevertheless write down in this field "H-1B visa"? Or leave it blank?
c) I need to provide some extra information on Physical Addresses (as well as work history) and the space provided is not enough. I need thus to use Part 14. Additional Information. I have trouble though understanding which ITEM NUMBER should I use for example for an additional physical address. So far I have written it as :
3.a. Page Number : 5 3.b. Part Number: 3 3.c. Item Number : (Left blank)
3.d. Physical Address 3
3000 Helms Street
Apt. 101, Dallas, Texas, 75001, USA
From : 6/10/2015
To : 5/14/2016
Is this correct? Should I use an Item Number and if yes which one? And what if I need to input another additional physical address? Should I use an item number and if yes which one (same as previous?)?
