On the letter about our interview it says "you do not need to bring your children" does this mean DONT bring them or "we don't have to bring them if we don't want to?" I've seen many posts that people take them. Our son just turned 1 year old. We are going to have to get a hotel the night before because it is a 3 hour drive and our interview is in the morning.

And could also mitigate the likelihood of couple being separated.

PS: Why do you think some cases of people who are not eligible to adjust status are discretionarily handled with lenience because they have an American-born child?Last edited by aquila; 11-01-2017, 01:52 PM.

Treating parents of USC who otherwise can not adjust status discretionary is just the right and smart thing to do until Trump became president - now they are getting deported like everyone else if ICE get their hands on them. There are also several other classes of people treated with the same discrection or even better sans USC children.
