  • Houston - Waiting for Interview

Anybody else been waiting a LONG time for their interview in Houston?

My husband is American and we applied for a marriage-based green card.

    Here's my current timeline:

    Priority Date: January 27, 2017
    Notice Date: January 29, 2017
    Biometrics Appt: March 1, 2017
EAD Approval Notice: April 26, 2017
    Received EAD/AP card: May 2, 2017

Since then, we've been waiting for the interview to be scheduled. Can anyone share their experience? Thanks!

We applied Sept 2016. On Oct 13 received interview date, then Nov 2nd via email and text, interview cancelled. No idea of when it will be rescheduled

Wow, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that... Hopefully you get rescheduled soon. Please keep me posted on your situation!

We were thinking of contacting our congresswoman, since it looks like that has helped some people expedite their case.

my parents have PD Aug 1 2016. then our interview is on OCt 13 and we missed it due to moved house for the hurricane, then we come straight to USCIS office then I got both of them approved by speaking to the Immigration people up there.

and they ship the green card on TUesday, so glad we are done with this one year long journey in Houston, they are very back log, Immigration people come to my parents house even on Sat to get paid overtime.

For Houston, over a year wait is normal, we wait more than 14 months , its finally got straighthen out, doesn't matter if your sponsor is citizen or not,

Same issue with my Biometrics appointment. Mine was scheduled on Aug 30, and it got cancelled due to Harvey.

USCIS website announcement said, it will re-scheule automatically in approximatly four weeks.

But this is 10'th week still no update.
