  • MY Story..it is kind of different

    Hello Guys,
    I will make it short.
I applied for AOS in July 2017. In September i raised a SR then in October called USCIS and raised another SR. I got approved for ED after 15 days of second SR. I received my EAD end of october. It was only EAD not a combo card.

I called USCIS yesterday, explain everything to the person that my AP is not approved she transfer me to immigration officer. Officer told me that it might be denied. She then put me on hold to find out that it has supervisory hold. she did not explain me what is that. she then raised a SR for AP. This morning SR was assigned to officer. Later in the afternoon it is updated again that SR is completed and send me a response via mail. I am not sure why AP has supervisory hold? why it is denied? and not sure what is the response i will get in the mail? Nothing has changed on USCIS website.

Did you travel on Visa while your advanced parole was pending?

Hmm... Then I don't know. I just read that they were denying applications as abandoned when traveling on visa while waiting for advance parole.

Yes probably because you wre on or have been on DACA they did stop issuing AP to everyone here on DACA so probably or highly likely has something to do with that

Did you enter with inspection? If not, did you depart and return to the United States using DACA AP? If not, how are you eligible for adjustment of status?

I traveled using DCCA ap. I can not wait to see notice why they denied by ap but approved EAD.

You should be good to go

...but ... I can't think of a reason you'd be denied AP. Unless you mistakenly filled out Form I-131 stating the eligibility basis as pursuant to DACA, because that's what you filled in before... even then they should have returned your application for lack of filing fee, rather than adjudicating then denying your application

perhaps someone mistakenly thought "oh he has DACA i'll deny this AP" which isn't correct, of course, because everyone and anyone with a properly filed and pending adjustment of status application is entitled to advance parole unless they are inadmissible - which you are not

I am very curious as well to find out what your denial notice says. Perhaps, the easiest thing to do is to apply again.
