I would appreciate if you can answer some of the questions I have.

1. When I send in I-485, I-130 and I-765 together. can I use 1 check for the payment?
2. My wife does not have a birth certificate. She was born in 1988 but never received one in China. What are our options?
3. I am a naturalized US citizen. Is it ok to send a copy of my passport for status verification? or Do I need both certification of citizenship and passport photo?

1. I wrote two checks for 130 and 485.
2. I was born in 1990 in China and my mom lost my birth certificate. You need to ask her parents get a notarized birth certificate from notarization department which every city has in China. They do pretty good job, which will give you english translation and notarize the translation.
3. Read the instruction for every form.

1) I sent one check, but have read since then it is better to send two in case one application can not be processed.
2) You need to get her a birth certificate from China I believe.
3) I would send both. I sent my passport and birth certificate for my verification (I was born in the US.)
