    November filer and my timeline

    Hi all,

    i m michigan filer.

Filed i130, 130a, i485 and i765 (also affidavits of support of primary and joint sponsor) on 11/03/17 by attorney
    uscis received everything on 11/7/17
    never received e-notifications or text
    check cashed on 11/14/17
    got 3 NOA's on 11/24/17
got bio appoint letter on 11/25/17
    fingerprint done on 12/04/17
got RFIE (request for Initial evidence) on 12/7/17 for i485 (they ask for joint sponsor's proof of residency i.e. copy of his green card)

now from here actual games starts; so my lawyer sent my USC wife's birth certificate in response of RFIE on 12/07/17 (same day he got RFIE) and he updated me next day on 12/9/17 i got my copy of RIFE and when i read that it simply says that USCIS need joint sponsor's proof of address not my primary sponsor i.e. my wife. so on 12/09 i raise this thing to my lawyer and next day he sent joint sponsor's doc.

he sent correct document with his explanation cover letter on 12/15, as he is a lawyer so he used tricky language on letter stating that " i consider your request of joint sponsor's proof of residency as primary and secondary sponsor as joint sponsor so why i did sent two separate documents for blah blah dates for two sponsors"

so basically he call USCIS's term "joint" in his letter as two people being sponsor together instead of considering joint sponsor (second person) as only one joint sponsor.

so technically he didn't admit his mistake of not reading RIFE correctly neither admit that it was uscis's mistake.

since 12/15/17 no updates from uscis on anything , no update on case (online)
i also found one more guy here was filed 7 days before i did and same process (he also got RFIE). he got his EAD in first 4 days of JAN 2018 .

I hope we all also got good news quite soon !!

Hey, thanks! I raised an SR today. Hope to hear back soon.

Can anyone tell us if it is usual to to get children's approved first before the primary applicants? Does it indicate anything wrt to processing time?

However the case status on the USCIS site is still "Fingerprint fee received.
