    Advance Parole

    Hi Guys.
Just an update i went to the philippines last december 5 till the 27th with emergency advance parole (attended my mothers funeral)
Just a suggestion if anyone of you wants to travel with the advance parole use it theres no harm at all. It only took me 10 minutes at the immigration office because my parole needs to be verify and passport needs to be stamped.

Also just to share... Aside from the I-797 Notice of Appointment and passport, I also brought my marriage certificate, just in case (since my passport is showing only my maiden name, I felt USCIS might ask for proof of my married name). When we arrived at the service center, the lobby guard and the biometrics officer inside asked for my marriage certificate! I gave my inner self a nice smile for preparing well lol. After that, the process took only 8 minutes. The lobby was empty when we went in and out. Anyway, while waiting, my husband struck a conversation with the lobby guard and was told by the guard that we could've walked-in days before the appointment if we had wanted to.

Excited now for the next mail, which is the RFE or RFIE. We're hoping it won't be a difficult RFE. Because this process is so important, my husband and I decided to enroll in USPS Informed Delivery service. When there's mail coming that day, we both get a text and email in the morning showing the scanned external portion of the mail, then we wait for the mailman in the afternoon. We also befriended our mailman lol.

The waiting continues... Good luck to all of us!
