    Congratulations!!!

We will have the interview this Thursday, I really tired of being worry that much, I have the binders organized and just have to do the table of contents, my husband joke about if they separate us during the interview he is the one who is going to stay inside and they are going to call me right away to approve just to make him shut up for talking about how the traumatic of this process is.

Anyway, I really happy to hear good news

    Happy update

    PD 11/22/2017
    Field Office: Helena, MT

I am very happy to update you all that my hubby and I had our AOS interview last Aug 31, and we were approved on the spot! The interview went smoothly, the IO was a nice lady, and it was such a relaxed atmosphere that we ended up laughing, telling stories about our respective dogs. After about 30 minutes, the IO said to me, "Since you've only been married for less than two years, you will get the conditional green card. You will come back after 2 years to remove the conditions..." My mind was reeling with questions, does this mean we're approved? Then my husband interrupted the IO, "excuse me, but does this mean we're approved?" I stopped breathing. The IO said, "yes I am approving you right now". I mentally shrieked. She said she doesn't see anything wrong with our case and that the folder we gave her with new evidences are well-organized. Then she handed me a piece of paper to sign, the "Notice to Conditional Permanent Residents". Then she told us to just wait for the green card to arrive by mail in 2-3 weeks. I'll try to post a more detailed account under August Interviewees thread, with screenshots of our Table of Contents.

After 283 days, our AOS journey is finally overrr! And we couldn't thank Immihelp, the AOS forum and the members enough for all the valuable information, experiences, suggestion, recommendation they offered. Special mention to UScitizenFilingforspouse, from whom I first heard about 'Living Will' months ago, I had to google it; Emerald 2020, whose Table of Contents format I followed; and newacct, from whom I learned a lot about immigration status/policies with his/her insightful contributions, sometimes I think s/he could be an immigration lawyer or a USCIS IO lol.

Thank you all, and good luck to everybody still awaiting results/updates. One thing I learned from this journey: everything's eventual. The waiting will pass so just be patient.

P.S. While waiting for our name to be called, hubby and I took selfies in the empty lobby. It was just us in the lobby so we asked a staff in one of the windows if we can take pictures with the flags and she said yes. So here's one we took of the lobby lol.

    PD: 11/22/2017

After 9 months, a baby was born somewhere today...and my EAD. Lol.

Received a status update from USCIS today:

    "Application Type: I765 EAD
    Case Status: Card/Document Production"

Waited soooo long for this, I should be excited, but because my I485 interview is in 2 days, I'm more stressed and nervous now than excited.

Good luck to me and to all of us!

(P.S. I wonder how is UScitizenfilingforspouse doing nowadays. I hope he's ok. He's such a great help!)

Thanks! It was total silence after my biometric, no texts/emails/updates. Early April, while my husband was doing the ITR, he said "this could be why your AOS process stopped, USCIS wants this year's tax returns". Which they did. Five days after the income tax deadline, I received an email update that they're sending an RFE, which is for the current year's tax docs. The silence was excruciating, I was excited after the bio, then became worried, impatient, upset lol. Reading the forum helped a lot; knowing I'm not the only one going crazy with the waiting. I busied myself with driving lessons, and learning Spanish and sign languages. Don't worry, jatra, everything will fall into place, eventually. Good luck to us!

Are you the person adjusting their status based on 245i? Just received an update and interview has been scheduled, i485 based on 245i.

Should my mom be worried that she still didnt receive her i131 travel document?

    CONGRATS!!!

These threads contain everything you need to file all the required evidence of bona fide marriage with your AOS package - as required by the I-130 instructions page 3/12.(See screenshot below). You will find very useful tips on how to stage your evidence for your initial filing and for your interview.

    1. This thread was started by Mr.Diaz., who got approved 5 minutes after leaving the interview. DACA recipient. Marriage based AOS. Raleigh, NC field office.
General tips from test driving the route to the field office to a primer on Table of contents.

    2. Thread by Helpmylife - Notice of Intent to Deny.
Case is pending as of 05/13/18.
Includes objective discussion on USCIS expectations.
Your job vs. the ISO's job.

*Edit 07-11-18, just a few days ago, helpmylife informed the forum that the 10 year green card had been approved.
There is a lot to learn from helpmylife?s experience. Like I told him, it would all be fine, and it?s all fine now, but after having been in his shoes, I strongly recommend not leaving anything to chance.

    3. Thread by Scifan
    USCitizenFilingForSpouse's Table of Contents
    Good discussions.

    4.
Thread by chicago1978. Case is pending as of 05/13/18. I expect a positive outcome here. This is a true marriage. Hands down. *Short engagement.

    5. Thread by jzgr24. Approval on the spot. Marriage based AOS. B1/B2 visa. Interview scheduled promptly. Cleveland, OH., field office. Jzgr24 has impressive organization skills. Realized they had more evidence than they thought and put it all together in a matter of days. Insane.
You can find the Table of Contents I used as a guide. *Must see.

    6. Thread by Herewecome & spouse. Approved on the spot. Amazing job with their Table of contents. They nailed this interview with an industrial grade nail gun. That's the best I can put it.

    7. Oklahoma city Filer. Approved on the spot. Great advice provided.

    8. Thread by Tezza. Approved on the spot. This case is remarkable because their interview was scheduled within 2 to 3 months. Tezza did not have a lease, and presented several notarized affidavits of residence to prove that they lived with his wife?s parents. He also presented an Advanced health care directive. I highly recommend this document. USCIS takes it very seriously. Bottom line is that they maximized the evidence they had available. They focused on evidence dating back to when they first met until the adjustment of status interview. (It?s sort of the way you would present evidence for a k-1 visa)

    9. Thread by Hotaru-Grace. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...010#post576010
There is great advice here. Make it easy for the Immigration Services Officer to approve you. There is no such thing as overpreparing.

    10. Thread by Emerald 2020. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...view-scheduled Her table of content is very complete. All elements are there. I strongly recommend using it as a guide.
