    Miami Filer

I got married in 2015 however my spouse just got citizenship this year so I waited until after the citizenship to file for GC and EAD.

I filed my I-130 back in March 2016

I did all my forms myself (no lawyer)

    Nov. 3rd 2017: I filed I-485, I-765 and I-864
Nov. 6th, 2017: Received in Chicago Office
Nov. 15th 2017: Email and text that case accepted NBC Center
Nov. 24th 2017: Received Biometrics Letter for 12/08/2017 Appointment
Nov. 24, 2017: Biometrics Walk in and got done in 10 mins

No updates when I check the receipt numbers still saying Fingerprint fee was accepted and your case was received.
    So the wait begins

Like I said, every case is different.
Background check is valid for 1 year. I agree it is case to case. But that number is there for a reason.

But if everything checks out, hopefully you'll get it within that timeframe.

    Hi Guys,
My attorney submitted my file (i485,i131,i765) to the USCIS, Nebraska center on November 15th.
We have not heard back from USCIS, no email, no text, money orders has not cahsed yet!.
My attorney claims that it is normal to take couple of weeks without any update!
    Is he right?

    I appreciate your helps/comments.
