  • Got it. (Houston)

After almost a year and half of waiting and a false criminal history accusation that we had to prove through fingerprinting, sworn affidavit and another police report, USCIS mailed us the green card. We didn't even go for an interview.

I thank God that's over. Please everyone hang in there and be patient. By the Grace of God, it will all end well. Thank you all for the advices you've all shared with me and everyone else needing the advice and support on this forum. I hope this great forum helps everyone else as it has helped me.

    GOD BLESS!!!

I totally do not know why. Everything they asked for we give them with two weeks of notification. We had to renew her work permit twice. First work permit we received within three moths of applying which lasted a year. We applied for renewal and it was extended for 6 more months, then three months into that we applied for another renewal which they extended six more months. All this while providing them with every document they asked for during the past year and a half. Then they finally sent the green card. No interview.

Mehn I don't even know why it took so long. Then they accused her of having a criminal history in the country she came from. I however suspected that since my spouse has a very common first and last name, they mixed her up with someone that bears the same name and actually has a criminal history. The issue was that we had to prove it to them that they do have false information on her. With whats going on in the country today, the last thing you want to be accused of as an immigrant is having a criminal history.

Wow that's crazy. Even though they suspected her of being that criminal, there's so much other info to prove otherwise (birth certificate, address/employment history, known associates blah blah blah). Well none of it really matters because the ordeal's over now. Congratulations!!!!
