Help, Please!!!!

i just found out today that i need to file an I-485 to adjust my status. i was wondering if any one knows how long it takes to get a response for this? also, i recently filed an I-824 to update my orinigal I-130 petition and dont know if that will interfer with my I-485?

www.immihelp.com is very good at explaining the process of applying for an immigration visa and subsequent consular processing or adjustment of status procedures. Please visit its site and glance through its highlights under Green Card tab.

It is now highly recommended to file I-130 and I-485 concurrently to save processing time, reduce human errors, and immediate legalization of status and rights to obtain EAD and AP. If I-130 is already filed, you will need to wait for an approval before filing I-485. My experience is that I-130 alone does not require I-864, but I-485 does.
