      My list of docs

All new evidence of relationship after we mail our AOS, Nov 10th 2016 till now.

We are taking a full copy of submitted package as well.
I took a copy as was suggested in one of the forums, in case they lost our case and i need to resubmit. Also i've read somewhere that some time it useful during interview to have a copy of submitted package.

It looks like i am over preparing, but honestly, i better will bring a suitcase on wheels filled with all kind of originals, copies and evidence, then received RFE for some stupid missing copy and wait another half a year or more!

How long until EAD to be mailed after Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview?

        04.10.2018 Sent the application
I received confirmation letters maybe a week after that.
After received a letter for biometrics and passed it but also received a letter saying
Request for initial evidence (I-485), which says that they need the stamp from my passport when I arrived in the US the letter is with date 05.03.2018. I sent the copy of the stamp!
My status changed to As of July 11, 2018, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
Apparently, I got a very good job opportunity which I really want to take, do you have any idea how long would take to receive EAD? I will speak to the boss and hope they wait for me to receive it since they are really interested in my skills but I'm a little worried because they want me to start working next week!
What should I do, please help!

you can look into expediting you EAD under financial loss or something of that sort, but you have to provide proof for your urgent need. May be a letter from your manager, offer letter etc.

I would try an infopass appointment but honestly they'll just tell you the same thing. It's always worth a try though. I tell my spouse all the time to not give up hope. I really feel for those adjusting status. Nothing makes me cringe inside more than watching my spouse get overwhelmed with frustration however we've got to stay strong for them. I think the system is a cat **** *phe and the service makes it more difficult than that it should be.

Politics dominates this agency. N400's were taking about a year or less under the Obama administration however under the Orange they're taking over 1yr. I realize people are rushing for benefits but much of this backlog was before Trump hit the stage.

Not sure what part of Houston you live, but the Long Point Medical clinic in Spring Branch is reasonable. This is where my husband went. I want to say it was $180 or close to it for his exam and vaccines. Depends on if you need vaccines... there is a place in pearland that offers free vaccines as well, but I cannot tell you the name of it. My stepson went there for his.

On a happy note hopefully, the DPS sent something today (have the USPS informed delivery to tell me what comes in the mail) hopefully it is the verification we need for him to get his license!

I am afraid to ask my habby, how much he paid.
When i start asking questions he was already out of Dr office "it doesn't matter, it's done!"

I've read, one person for a second exam Dr. charge an insurance as an annual check up, and only was charge for the paperwork and Tuberculose check.

That is indeed a tidy sum for a second medical, or was it your first? wow pretty expensive indeed. The first medical can be expensive, as they look for plenty ways that an existing vaccination can be boosted. However, to soften the blow a bit, you may consider the payment as a necessary deposit/ investment in your whole process of remaining here in the US. One day, one day you will be able to look back at the sacrifice and smile.

                                All the best.
