I opened an inquiry about the status on Feb 20 and it is not assigned for processing yet.

In addition, I have contacted the congresswoman last week and still waiting to hear from her also.

I just created a different USCIS account here https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ (following advice from the top thread on this forum) and on Feb 5th my I-485 was updated to "We are scheduling your interview". Progress! Though still a long wait ahead, I imagine, and still no activity on the EAD/AP case numbers.

          • I have contacted the congresswoman like 2-3 weeks ago.
This is the e-mail body I have received from her staff.
Basically USCIS wait them that I should wait.

"Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent?s immigration matter. Our review indicates that this case is within our current processing time. Processing time information can be found on our website on the USCIS Processing Time Information page. Once further action is taken, a notice will be sent to the address of record.

We hope the information provided is helpful. If we may be of assistance in the future, please let us know."

            By the way.
Today is the 98th day and no EAD yet.

isn't it a bit premature to contact your congresswoman already?

it seems like everyone here is reaching out to senators/congressmen/ombudsman or even DT himself.
I understand the wait is horrible, i tried to expedite things myself with job loss in sight when my current visa expires, no luck there though.

like the folks from uscis tell us every time we inquire, we gotta be patient..

                • Hi guys, I'm Oct 6 PD, still waiting my EAD .... when I reached out to my senator here in Washington State, I was told the normal processing time is whatever is posted on the USCIS website. Forget the 90 days. So I was told that I need to wait until the posted date on the website moves beyond my PD (it still says Oct 1, as of Feb 15 and it's driving me nuts), then they will be able to help.

                  Hope this helps anyone.

October 1 is was date based on information until December 31. So you should have received EAD by now.

Yeah, it seems that everyone does that, and that's absolutely ridiculous in my book.
Sure the wait is terrible, but you knew or atleast should have known when you started this process that it's gonna take some time.

Everyone reaching out to congressman/woman isn't helping what so ever, not after 90days atleast. Get a hobby folks, and be prepared for a wait. I feel like alot of people are driving themselves insane, checking the site every day, mail box every day etc.

                            Hey guys,

I just spoke to a level 2 officer who was very rude by the way.

and told me that current EAD waiting time is at least 5 months and a half.

                            just wanted to share!
