My birth certificate that I did send with my package. Apparently it got lost.
So as I understand it, when you receive a RFIE you're starting ALL OVER.............
    pretty bummed
I don't think that's necessarily true. Mine was an initial request but it stated that my case was on hold until the response was received. When they got the response they updated my online status to say that they would resume working on my case. Nothing about restarting.

That blows! Won't it just pause the process until they get your response?

I saw quite a few August filers on **** **** *** talk about receiving RFIEs recently (when they'd been waiting 6+ months for EAD) who then got their EADs super quickly after their response was received by USCIS. Got my fingers tightly crossed for you mate.

          edit: haha guess you can't say that other website name on here? ridic. v i s a j o u r n e y

              • Exciting week:

April 25 2018: EAD update: 'we are producing your card and will mail it to you'
April 26 2018: EAD & AP approval online
April 30 2018: Approval notices in the mail & EAD updated to 'card was mailed'
May 2 2018: EAD/AP combo card and my SSN received in the mail at my new address

Thinking good thoughts for those still waiting. Now to see when the interview notice comes in... (I'm expecting another 10-12 months wait for Seattle)

I was so happy about getting this update that I did not really elaborate about my timeline. For everyone's reference, my timeline is below

                    Category : Employment Based AoS (I-485) EB2
Nationality : Rest of World (not Indian nor Chinese)
                    Local Office : Hartford, CT
                    Current Status : H-1B

                    My timeline so far:

Dec 01 : I-485 Package delivered to TSC according to FedEx (did not apply for EAD/AP)
Dec 08 : Received package received confirmation by email and text
Dec 22 : Biometrics Appointment Notice (by mail; never received email/text nor online status changed on USCIS.gov)
                    Jan 11 : Biometrics done
Mar 06 : Transfer notice by email and texts
Mar 12 : Transfer notice received by mail; case transferred to NBC
Apr 20 : Ready to be scheduled for interview notice received by email and text
May 1 : Interview scheduled notice received by email and text

Currently waiting to receive mail that will tell me when the interview date would be.

                    • Hi, everyone.
I guess I am technically a December filer. I sent my package and was received the day before thanksgiving on November. After checking the new website It starts showing since December 4 and the last time somebody touched my case was 1/23. I got my bio appointment for 1/23 after reading in this forum, that is a little longer than some of the other posters. 3 days before the bio I received an update saying that my case was transferred to MSC, because of workload. Since then no new updates, I didn't apply for a new ead since I still have my daca one and is good until 2019. My only concern is that I sent my medical in the package, hopefully I don't have to spend more money and wait longer, I already went thru this went I was a minor, it took 5 years of waiting after the interview to be denied. And Newark will be the office I will have to go to the interview.

I don't think your wait time is out of ordinary. Are you employment based or family based?
