Looking for Affidavit of Support

Hi Guys,

My i-485 application is pending because the income of my wife, a US citizen, does not meet the poverty guideline. So we are now looking for "Affidavit of Support". Can anyone help us to fill form I-864 or tell us who may give the assistance.

Try with a family member or ask her to get a full time job or another part time, even family members will probably refuse to sign that thing, is a huge responsability even your own siblings would doubt to sign because if you ever become a public charge them the sponsor who signed will have to pay for all your expenses.

Can social security be counted as income with W2 in filing i-864?

Look for a kind family member.

It's only a very kind-hearted family member can sign it .Someone here has previously explained clearly why people refuse to get involved. Just be knocking on doors,hopefully someone earning the stipulated amount will help.

Social security retirement & disability counts as income. Unemployment benefits and workers compensation counts

SSI (supplemental security income) for the aged, blind, and disabled does NOT count. TANF (temporary assistance for needy families) does NOT count

In my case, the sponsor only has the income of last year, which meet the guideline. And, the income includes W2 and Social Security Disability.

Will it get accepted?
