  • Still Waiting for the Decision or GC

I have applied for the adjustment of Status on basis of marriage (citizen Spouse) on Dec 21st 2016 and Got my EAD in April. My Interview was scheduled on Aug 29th 2017 its been 100 days I have not received any thing no welcome letter neither my online status has changed from "Interview is scheduled".

I got worried because my interview went so well and the lady approved it right away and give me the recommendation letter and told me that I will receive the card within 2 to 3 weeks.

Last week I went again on info pass and inquire about it by she said my file is still on the ISO table and there is no updates available. she made me fill out the form and told me that it will take 30 to 60 days to get the reply for it.

My interview happened at Atlanta location.

My EAD is expiring in April and I am confuse that if I should renew it now or wait?

Does any one had the same experience? is this normal?

    Please advise!

It's free to apply for EAD and AP so there's no reason not to apply to renew them. If you get the green card sooner you don't lose anything.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Unfortunately, when things fall out of the usual processing time, there is little to nothing you can do but wait. My wife and I have been waiting since January 7, 2016 since our interview took place to hear if a decision has been made. We've requested the help of our congressman, hired a lawyer to send inquiries, attended infopass appointments, submitted our own inquiries through phone and online, only to be told they are still processing our case. We applied back in August of 2015. We are disheartened and disappointed to say the least. We have never received any type of RFE and our interview went very well, ending with the interviewer saying she would recommend to approve our case. But here we are 2 years later still waiting, not understanding how it takes so long to make a decision.

Hopefully you hear something soon and don't fall through the cracks like we did. Patience wears thin after so much time has passed. Be strong and willing. Good luck to you!

Is it normal to have such a long wait-time that you all are experiencing?
