  • Applying for Parents

    Hello everyone,

So I currently have my conditional green card and I wanted to get my information right: can I start the process for my parents? The reason why I ask is because I am hearing multiple answers. I am sure that being a citizen will be a much better situation but my dad is a CDL driver and his driver's license is expiring next year in June and he is devastated. Can I start the process for him at least? He has a SSN. My mom does not because her passport was stolen.

Is there any possibility that this process will succeed?

Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Only a US citizen can petition a parent.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
