Help! I just organized my huge stack of paperwork yesterday in preparation for the interview) and noticed that I cannot find the i765 receipt (797C). I do have a COPY of it but I have no clue where the original is. Did they maybe take it at the biometrics appointment?! I have all the others ones just not this one. Will that be an issue?

I think a copy should be ok. I was never asked for it at the interview by the way.

I didn't take any receipt to the interview. I don't think that is needed. Follow the instructions on the interview notice checklist. That's all you need.

Finally, after 140 days I got a text saying my case have been updated and when I checked it says that new card is being produced.
I am so relieved.

My 131 said "approved" at the same day when 765 approved. And I got the combo.

It should be the combo if you applied them together.

I am filling from Miami - FL and I did't expedited anything, I called last week to ask about the process and the guy said that it was on time. That is all he said.

My 131 said "approved" at the same day when 765 approved. And I got the combo.

It should be the combo if you applied them together.

I hope so. My I765 didnt show approved. It just show the updated status.

i-485 (my i-140 was already approved) submitted end of January, so all in all the whole process took 5 months, which mean I'm pretty lucky.

My field office is San Jose. I am in the EB2 employment-based category.

Sure,

- What is the last name of your spouse
- What are the names of your spouse's parents
- What is the birthday of your spouse
- Where do you work
- What is your job title


That's all the questions I got, besides the standard "what is your current address", "have you commited a crime", etc, generic ones.

We were asked to show our marriage certificate, birth certificates, house deed, and letter from my employer confirming employment.

The whole interview was very brief. 20min after we left I got a text saying my status has been updated, and it changed to "card being produced" on the USCIS website.

EAD finally approved

Finally, after almost 150 days of waiting, my EAD/AP combo card was approved. Below is the timeline:

Application delivered: 01/22/18
Checks Cashed: 01/27/18
USCIS Received Date (I-130): 01/26/18
USCIS Received Date (I-485): 01/26/18
Biometrics Notice Received: 02/02/18
Fingerprinting / Biometrics Date: 02/23/18
EAD approved (on USCIS website): 06/19/18 - after 148 days
Card mailed (on USCS website): 06/22/18
NoA for both EAD/AP received in a mail: 06/23/18
Waiting for the combo card to arrive.

Now waiting for the interview. Hope to get an appointment before the end of the year. According to the USCIS website it takes at least a year now in SF.
